The Lakes
Ennerdale -
Ennerdale and the village of Ennerdale Bridge are in the western lake district, near the coastal town of Whitehaven. Ennerdale water is the most westerly of the lakes. Due to its remoteness and relative inaccessibility, it remains one of the most unspoilt areas of the Lake District, which ironically makes it increasingly popular with visitors. The village is also traditionally the first night stop for west to east walkers of the Coast 2 Coast long distance walk across England.
